Albuquerque is a curious place and an even curiouser place is New Mexico. Maybe Alice was talking about New Mexico all along and deemed it "Wonderland".The laid back nature of New Mexico makes for a great place to visit and enjoy nature. This week I ventured to the Rio Grande Valley State Park. Nestled between Downtown Albuquerque and Southwest Albuquerque. Although no beaches reside in the Southwest, the Rio Grande Valley State Park Beach is pretty close . It has soft beige sand and the water was cool but not freezing. If you plan on visiting the Rio Grande Valley State Park I recommend bringing lots of water, a towel, sandals, a swimsuit of any kind whether that be an old t-shirt and shorts or a bikini. Yoga would also be great to do here as the sand is soft and the sun feels just right on your skin. Dogs are welcome as well at the state park and I saw many pooches dipping in the shallow water.
